Installation help
Well, I decided to join you fools in what looks to be a fun game here in AA but after the install I keep having trouble launching the game.
When I double-click the icon to start AA, everything appears to load and I come to the main menu screen but after that it freezes, no music, no movement ability to select menu items, can't ctrl-alt-delete out of it either.
ANy suggestions?
I'm thinking about uninstalling and reinstalling.

I had the same problem. For some reason just rebooting fixed it for me. Other then that I do not remember doing anything else.

That's quite odd. Never heard of that. The usual routine would be to make sure your vid/audio drivers and directX is all current. Maybe defrag the drive. Uninstall/reinstall.
Also, the offical AA forums may be a good place to do addition querying..

do you get the repeating sound stutter?
Seems like it could be causing a fault. all the usuals have been noted. Maybe the default settings for it are causing a problem.

I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling. So far things seem to be working

Remember, you only need to complete basic training to start playing online on most maps. If the TG server happens to be on a map that requires more training or honor, let the admin know and I'm sure people wouldn't mind switching maps to accomodate a new player.
Also try to set up your teamspeak binds so you can easily switch channels.

Thanks for the tip. I've completed the basic, but still have to complete the SF and medic training.

Oh i kind of had the same problem as well... Found out I had to go into my firewall and allow AA's full access to internet manually before starting the game. The AA just freezes and completely isolates from the desktop...
