    There is a very short paratrooper version with a collapsing stock and very short barrel. Not sure how widely it's used. More common I think is the m249 SPW (intermediate length barrel + collapsing stock) and it's nearly identical SEAL version the Mk46 0 (fixed stock and 1 extra rail on top heatshield). I'd also like to see optical sights available on them (the Elcan made m145(?) and others that are available).

    Yes please. A quick change they could make easilly would be to allow selection of mount point for the ACOG Reflex so that it could be mounted on the reciever's rail allowing the m203a1 to be used in conjunction (m203 leaf sight on top heatshield rail currently stops this in 2.5) with it.

    I'd like to see the EOTech holo-reflex sight as an available option too. I believe SOCOM is deploying these now (model 552).

    Just had a little under an hour conversion with Americas Army Executive Producer/Art Director, Phillip Bossant... alot of great info about the next major version 2.7, then the completely revamped, redone version 3.0 with unreal engine 3 sometime in 2007...

    Answered MOST of your posted questions, will get it put together in article form and posted ASAP... heres a little teaser of info... Same great game with many improvements, but also the introduction of co-op play against overwhelming number of enemies in vehicle etc ect...

    Nice weapon system... there will be new weapons and the ability to customize your weapon system... but no details on which weapon platforms.

    I had done the article on my work laptop while I was guarding a victim at the hospital last night, copied to disk and then attempted to open it on my home PC... wouldn't open, tried a number of different things.... so now I got to re-write it on my home PC. lol

    Hopefully by mid-week.
