Q&A with the developers of AA...
If you have any questions you would like to be asked in a scheduled Q&A sit down between myself and a couple of the developers from America's Army... Ask away, and I'll see what I can cover.
(we will be talking mainly about the future of the AA game.)Magnum

Re: Q&A with the developers of AA...
Well I'd like to know if and when true 3d weapon models will be implemented so that we can have more realisitc sighting and weapon handling. (Take a look at the sniper rifles in Red Orchestra and see what using a true 3d weapon model allows for scoped weapons.)
Will player inertia be added? (fixes unrealistic strafe/dodge/hop) I know that this would be easy to do because one of the RO devs told me it was pretty easy for them to do in the mod (same engine pretty much).
I know they've said many times they will not remove the xhair. Could you ask if they could at least dissable the damn color change IFF behaivior (or make it a server option if it's not already). It's very unrealistic not to mention unfair to be able to shoot/be shot through smoke etc using the xhair's IFF.
Personally I'd much rather they work on improving the core fundamentals of the game than adding vehicles etc.
Oh, P.S. I guess... How bout adding in 'climbing'? I saw it pretty well implemented in an older q3 engine WWII game called Hidden & Dangerous 2. Really a lot more realistic than the hop fest limitations currently in AA.--

Will there be coop gametypes and/or missions in future releases?

If I believe right they plan on adding AI opfor. Pretty much basically like Rise of the Soldier.

Cool, thanks! I was just wondering what they had planned in the near future.

Calling for fire missions? Maybe a forward observer type with radio and such.
New weapons? Modifications to current ones? More M4 mods, M249 shortie version, and army shotgun (mossberg 590 I think)."Artillery lends dignity to what would otherwise be an ugly brawl."
