Jan 20th AAR
I figured i should write this since some people have a tendency to exaggerate details of such events. We started out with a ton of pubbies in the server who really wouldnt follow any direction and where just going for the kills, which makes me wonder whats goes on when TG isnt on it. Anyway, startd out with the Password on extraction and we had about 6 of us. That map went just like usual fast and heavy, i think i had one kill, maybe!
Then we played then we played my favorite map, hospitol, and still had the same teams as the previous, team 1 Fried Munchkin and Me. Team 2 was filled with 3 of the best hackers ive seen in a while, Turbo Chuckles and Mirfee. Kind of went back and forth as we all relearned our binds and the maps, Fried thought it would be funny and jump in front of my SOFMOD and die. I got flamed for that, alot. The hackers ended up winning that map
Oasis was the third map we played, i dont want to talk about it.
The final map i played was weapons cache, i only played one round so someone else can fill this part in
all in all it as good to have some good AA games going, hopefully on sunday for the game club we can get more involved.that sounds like a good idea trooper.

Re: Jan 20th AAR
Yeah, we need somemore people to play. I can't believe a certain person came into the AA channel then jumped back to Eve. Clear proof that Eve is the work of the debil.

Re: Jan 20th AAR
Me a hacker?! Hehehe...
Pubbies don't bother me as long as they aren't jerks and we just didn't have the numbers for some of the maps like SF Pipline where we got owned early on def till some clanners joined who knew the map (hard map to defend if you don't know it). Wish I could have screenshot'd my lucky 203 shot through girders and into control room to nail 3 TG'ers. That was the best 203 shot I ever made.
Extracton went so fast partly because we didn't have the numbers for it. It is HARD (and fun) on a full server where everyone knows the map. You can also thank Mirfee for finding and fixing you all so well so that I could flank/pick you off. If it didn't have those 2 bad random spawn combinations it'd be one of the best AA maps IMO.
I don't really care for Hospital but it can be a good map. I started out very poorly by running into the enemy 3 times in a row in heli building and getting hosed but we had a good VIP (I hate being vip cuz I still get lost inside... we were lucky I wasn't it) so it turned into a good match.
Oasis usually equals pain for Assault.
Weapons Cache SE is one of the non-sf maps I have come to really like. Now if only I could shoot UP through stair rungs when Turbo shoots down through them at me I'd like it even more.
He's also a demon at tossing flashbangs up. He got me bad on the south stairs with one but he missed me in the elevator shaft and paid with his life.

Re: Jan 20th AAR
Those games were great, for our team at least
Hopefully we can get more for Sunday night. Hopefully I can get back on time before everyone leaves. Maybe we will have to try and keep the Sunday night AA games going like before.

Re: Jan 20th AAR
Those games were great fun, and Chuckles' ability to turn around and headshot me in under a millisecond was also pretty amazing. But you know what else is amazing? No-one has mentioned TKing in this thread yet

I know "Dead men don't talk", but that didn't stop me from cracking up on TS when it happened

Re: Jan 20th AAR
Hey guys I would love to play AA with you. It as been so long since I have played though. I have to download this an practice some, but let me know if you would like me to jump onboard. It would be a great change from BF2. Last time I played I was used to the BF2 run & gun style so I did not do so well, but I found that after a while I applied the tatics from AA to BF2 and really kicked some butt! So Pm me or post in this thread if your interested and I will Mount UP!!
P.S. I also have CSS if you want to try that too.

Re: Jan 20th AAR
As far as TK's go... Yeah we had surprisingly few considering how rusty most of us are. In my case I walked in front of friendly fire at least once (sorry Fried) and I know I hit friendlies at least twice during the night but I don't remember tk'n anyone so that kind of pleasantly surprised me.
The more we can get the better. I'll be making an effort to put aside WoW again tonight to show up for more carnage.
The one thing I missed friday was having death notices truned off. I just think it's more fun that way.
Munchkin, most of that is panic shooting on my part. I say my daily prayer to the god of 'Spray & Pray' befor each game.
I'd also guess part of it could be the glitch in AA where you get a little hiccup when you first see/engage an enemy sometimes (it's almost like AA isn't preloading players even when told to in settings).
On CSAR I crouched in a doorway overlooking the BH aim'd and then peaked out to check far side/balcony/windows. All I saw was a pair of cammo'd legs filling my FoV so I held the trigger and pan'd left and up and he dropped without hitting me once at point blank range. Scared the bejezzus out of me.
