Mot, get with someone on TS and find an empty room somewhere to get your feet wet. Lots of little things to do, and not to do, before you can really get the hang of it.

Its like GR that way, if you only saw the pubbies how many of us would have quit that game?

I liked what we did the other night. I think I gained some points. I almost gained an honor point! 510 to go!!

Hop on with Mirfee and I and we'll get you going up the honor ladder pretty quickly!

I'm getting my feet wet in this game as well. I'm almost done the basic training, and even went online for a bit to get the hang of the basic basics. If there ever is a "amateur" night for us new players, I'd certainly like to attend. And don't worry, there won't be any TK's from me--I couldn't hit anyone even if I wanted to, as I learned over, and over, and over....

I'm still an amateur. We can just all be noobs together on the same team I guess. :-)

    Re: Pros & Cons?

We seem to be getting a little AA 'team' forming up. I wouldn't suggest anything formal in that regard, but does anybody have a preferred night they'd like to link up and play as a group? It would be great to get 6-8+ of us all on the TG server (locked down for a while?) and us few marginally senior players could school the 'youngins' a bit

Given the general lack of familiarity of all the maps (among even us regulars), it should make for some pretty juicy tactical gameplay

I actually did quit GR until I found TG....sniff...I love you guys!

Back OT, I think I'm starting to like this game thanks to Mirfee for letting me follow him around the other night.
    New to TG? Start here!

    Re: Pros & Cons?

There was a few of us playing last night for a couple of hours. Myself, I only have 9 honor pts but have completed all the SF training (Thanks to Ryn)....therefore I was able to play on a sf server.
Having only 9pts means that I do not have acess to cool Special Forces kit but rather I look like some Russian beet farmer with a sawed off AK. Some off the guys on my team(Assault), were quite put out that I did not look like them with all the spanky white camo gear.
Consequently, I kept getting shot by some of my own team...this is tough...I would have really like to have shot back, but my honor pts would have taken a ****kicking.

Thanks Ryn and Apo for showing me the ropes last night, I can see this as only getting better with time.

Maybe this Thursday night, or a day over the weekend? I've completed all of basic, and am raring to go. Please be gentle.

    Re: Pros & Cons?

I finally finished my SF training thanks to some advice from Jex. Hopefully, I can join more servers now. I will keep an eye out and join when I see some TG people in.
