GG's last night
I had a great time playing a few rounds of AA last night, including a few matches on a official server. Thanks to Mirfee and Apo for showing a few of us n00bs around.
My intial impressions of this game now that I've played a bit:
1) Great comms are VITAL--there is very little that helps a person with the situational awareness--no tiny little maps to show where everyone is.
2) You have to work damn hard to get kills in this game. Hitting a target is at distance (at least with the M-16) is not very easy at all.
I hope to hop on with some of the vets again soon. Map familiarization is key to staying alive long enough to earn some points, and I hope to be able to do some more walk-throughs. Being familiar with the terrain and tactics for each map will go a long way to getting me acclimated quicker to AA.
It's simply the most difficult fps I've ever played, but that's one of the things that I love about AA. You literally earn your stripes.

And that is why I play it. All the better with the right people! TG rocks!
