Re: Heads up a sale.

It will also become available on Steam on the 9th I believe, hopefully this will give us a nice infusion of new players.

We certainly could use a boost in players. TF2's fame came out of no where, so I know it pulled some away.

I gotta admit I pity the fouls that are waiting for the Steam release. The game is already out.

I'll never, EVER buy anything retail if I know I can get it on Steam, regardless of release date.

I'm still only going to buy through them if I get a deal, or discount.

1. I don't have to have a disk (to install OR play).

b. I can install Steam on any computer and play ANY of my games anywhere (without needing a disk).

III. It's usually cheaper, but still worth it if it's the same price as retail.

4. Automatic updates.

E. Nothing to lose, ever. All I need to install all of my Steam games is, well, Steam and my login/pw. That's it.

Re: Heads up a sale.

I don't know much about steam. When I bought Half Life 2 on disc, I installed steam as well and was recognized as the owner of HL2 and games that were bundled. So now I can play those games without a disc through steam as you were describing. Will it not work the same way with Quake Wars?

Unfortunately no.

Even so, I may buy a copy from gogamer... seems like a bargain.
