We certainly could use a boost in players. TF2's fame came out of no where, so I know it pulled some away.

I'll never, EVER buy anything retail if I know I can get it on Steam, regardless of release date.

I don't know much about steam. When I bought Half Life 2 on disc, I installed steam as well and was recognized as the owner of HL2 and games that were bundled. So now I can play those games without a disc through steam as you were describing. Will it not work the same way with Quake Wars?
