Supporting member slots

We are now testing the reserved slot system.

We do not (yet) have supporting member slots on the ETQW server. Until we are able to implement something any supporting member that wants to get on the server if it is full need only ask an admin to open up a slot. It is not the best system, but it will do for now. If you are NOT a supporting member, do not ask an admin to open up a slot for you.

You can find an admin by checking teamspeak or contacting one of us via IM or xfire.

Re: Supporting member slots

I am still forming my admin team. I do plan on picking up admins from different time zones to help with coverage.

Re: Supporting member slots

Damonte has been investigating the scripting capability of the dedicated server. Unfortunately, at this time, it does not seem to have nearly the flexability of the BF2/BF2142 servers in that regard. More information as it is available.

Re: Supporting member slots

the aproach we will need for automated supporting member room is a seperate program to interface through rcon. it is doable, but will require some careful thought.

Re: Supporting member slots

I know on my server I have reserved slots with a password. Is it possible to give supporting members the password for the reserved slots?

Good News Everyone!

The Simple Quake Wars Rcon tool has been released, along with the source. The source is.... C#! Damonte just happens to program in C# as well.

There is a light on the horizon...

Silver has noticed that Damonte always refers to himself in the 3rd person

We do not use the in game reserved slot function. We have a huge number of supporting members and those slots would fill up far too quickly.
