X-fire Call of Duty 4 Group

I created an Xfire group for Call of Duty 4 to help our members get in touch with each other to organize gaming sessions. This should be a great tool to start building our player base, since one of the biggest hurdles we seem to have in front of us is getting everyone together on the server.

The group is called Tactical Gamer Call of Duty 4 and can be found using the following link:

Re: X-fire Call of Duty 4 Group

Is there some reason for not using TS for in-game comm?

I'm all for getting people into the TS servers, but every time I've checked them, they've been empty (save for that one time I found you Bubba).

I always try to use TS as a tool for coms in game.
But I have come across a unwritten rule that if the game has VOIP then you should use that.
I usually ignore that and use TS in addition to VOIP.

I always prefer in-game because it encourages people who join randomly to participate. TS is for between round smack-talk and the occasional jab

I'm always in TS, but usually in the 7th channel to save your sensitive ears from our unsavoury banter.

Re: X-fire Call of Duty 4 Group

I just applied to the group, will anyone be playing tonight?

Also, been trying to get into the general ts server, and I'm getting a bad login error. Is the password up on the server page incorrect?

Re: X-fire Call of Duty 4 Group

I'll be on later...Got your pm about the X fire site...I think I joined it correctly.

too funny bom...

I havent used xfire in ages...last night I noticed it wasn't listing COD4 servers...I got around that by adding the TG servers by IP to my favorites.

Had some good games with trooper and a couple of other guys I can't remember last night...until the map with the shipping crates came on...was just ridiculously too small. When we are ready to make map rotation adjustments I hope this one goes.

Re: X-fire Call of Duty 4 Group

I'll be on tonight Fine....and I've been trying to get on every Saturday morning to meet up with any Euro TGers, game title regardless. Looking forward to seeing you.

Sometimes you have to seed the server. Countless times I've been on alone, then another would join, then two more...etc...you know the deal.

TG is known for NOT being a RnG server and that keeps a lot of pubbies away most times that's good but when your looking for a quick game sometimes it's a bummer....

I so wish there was a coop mode in the sp mode...wouldn't that be awesome!

I'm playing some sp now and going on the cod4 ts channel...**invite sent to everyone**
