Re: What are the best unlocks besides the Voss and the rockets?
call me weird. But I dont care for the voss or rockets. I know the rockets have a great use. But I prefer other kits then Assault
Motion mines, Motion mine bait, APM, RDX, EMP nades and IDS are my Favs. And dont forget spanky with radar nades! ![]()

Fun Unlocks
I mostly enjoy close-quarters, so that's probably why I like the Lambert Carbine so much.
The stabalizer is nice too. I know there are some people who don't need it; but I do. Being able to steady the aim, especially when you're zoomed in a fair distance, makes it really easy to pick off enemy snipers quickly, without having to wait for it to balance just right. |

Re: What are the best unlocks besides the Voss and the rockets?
Although I really like the rockets, once I learned to properly use them, I would have to say that the Emp Nades, IDS, Pilum, Motion mines, and mine bait are the ones that I prefer and find most useful in a squad. It really depends on the maps and what soldier you prefer to play. I have recently found myself utilizing the engineer kit more and more.

IDS IDS IDS IDS IDS IDS IDS IDS IDS! This unlock is and will forever remain broken! get it while its hot! Good players will draw out so much tactical advantage out of one of those small little beeping things its not even funny.

I personally don't like the Voss that much. Its great, but I'm just not a huge fan of it, though I use it 50% of the time (other 50% being Krylov). Pretty much all of the recon unlocks are solid if you wanna use them, though if you're wondering what to unlock next, just be aware the recon isn't "always" useful in a squad on the move.

Re: What are the best unlocks besides the Voss and the rockets?
I setup my kits the same way almost every time, so this is my list of "the best unlocks" to date:
*Edit* My list above is incomplete. I forgot about the netbat and advanced hub unlocks. They are invaluable as well as the grenades, sprint, etc. |

Re: What are the best unlocks besides the Voss and the rockets?
On the Assault side, the advanced hub, net bat, defib, rockets, NS expanded mag, and the Herzog.
I used to love the Baur, but with 1.4, the SCAR is so much better I'm wondering if they are smoking crack. The Baur is great point-blank and from far away, in between is where it has trouble. Herzog is one of the big under-rated ones here. On some maps with fast-moving squads it's great, some of my best rounds are with the Baurzog. Engineer class is lots o' fun with the mentioned mines and mine bait. The SMGs are awesome up close with NS clip expansion and extra mag (more useful then the Lambert). Support is great with the Clark. Very bad ass with the new fire rate, IDS and heartbeat monitor. Some people love the Ganz too. I've had some good rounds with it but I'm not consistently good with it. Recon is good too - Can you say RDX? At TG, you will find most squads will prefer you roll as assault rather than Recon. You'll understand when you see those enemy all-medic squads that JUST WON'T DIE! |

Re: What are the best unlocks besides the Voss and the rockets?
Well, lately I've noticed some members of TG *eyes Lyra* going as recon and being *quite* effective with RDX and eliminating our all-medic squads. Now I'm not sure if this is intentional on his part or if he's just goofing off... but if it is intentional, I suspect that gameplay at TG may be in for a real shift.

Re: What are the best unlocks besides the Voss and the rockets?
About unlocks, I don't care for the Voss. At all.
the Baur is my favorite all-round weapon, and the rockets help a lot. If yu play the big maps, Pilum is priority, and the advanced repair tool. I've only played a few rounds using the pilum, and have destroyed many tanker's hopes of having a kill fest though getting shot alot in the process lol

Re: What are the best unlocks besides the Voss and the rockets?
The IDS is probably the best unlock out there. Info on the battlefield is key to swinging a tight game. And who hasn't been shotgunned by Lyra using an IDS. The defib comes in next as alive squadmates and teammates equals better chance for you to survive!
