AAR: Deploy a shield
I was playing a game as strogg the other night where a regular game turned into a TG game.
We were having a heck of a time trying to build a generator. I was using VOIP to try to coordinate, but It was slow going. Finally, another guys slowly starts using it as well. just simple intel reports, but effective. We were throwing constructor after constructor at the lazer. Only to watch them die to APT, mines, and light weapons fire. As more guys starting using VOIP, the organization of our team went through the roof. We had a group of 5-6 guys on the team working together at this point. Despite some great attempts at organization we still failed, even when we got 10 guys to go in as a single wave. We grew frustrated, the GDF were mocking our failure. We then worked up a plan on the fly that made for my finest moment in this game to date. We had our airship target their radar first. This was critical because we needed to remain concealed in our staging area. We had 100% team compliance in the plan. EVERYONE was working together! Once their radar was down, we sprang forward to the staging area. At this point, we had about 5-6 guys on voip, but the rest of the team were listening and following orders. Our confidence and intensity grew with each new guy that got on VOIP. After we blew thier radar and secured our staging area, we instructed one field ops to drop arty on the GDF defense behind the generator with a violator beacon, then the 2nd field ops moved in and they both knife sprinted (you can outrun a mine if you are carrying a knife) past mines on the generator. Then they deployed tactical shields over the part of the generator we needed to construct! This was all worked out on VOIP in about 30 seconds. Each part of the plan came from a different person. I said, lets hold this staging area and drop the violator beacon first. then another guy says I will run in, drop a beacon and try to sprint past mines, another guys says, sprint past the mines with your knife out, they wont detonate in time to hurt you. Another guy says, put a tactical shield over the generator! The Field ops announced he deoplyed the violator, but said it was still hot. I then yelled, soldiers and medics, get in there and clear the area, engys move in 10 seconds later! It was brilliant! As I was huddled inside the safety of the tactical shield I could hear bullets hitting the sheild at a phenomenal rate. While we constructed, medics spewed stroyent at us. We prevailed! after we constructed the laser, I looked at it with pride, I decided to stand off in the distance to take a SS. I was then of course, sniped. ![]()

Sounds awsome Science, wish I was there, but this sunday we should try to really get our TG ETQW crew together and have some of that awsome teamwork ourselves.
