Howdy/complaint

Well I'm DunNa (I'm sure your stunned) and I've been playing on your server lately and I have to say its a blast. Though tonight some really "craptastic" things happened and while I hate for my introduction to be a complaint I just never really had a need to post anything.

Tonight on highway tampa nobody would balance teams and we went 2 rounds of one side having an almost 2:1 advantage (shifted between 15-6 on the extreme to about 11-8 on the light) I stayed for the map and then left to post this. While I'm generally one to roll with the punchs even when people bunny hop or steal armor this was just overtly over the top and blatant (I also asked in chat many times for someone to switch over, nobody did). I'm not asking for anything about the server to change but maybe you could have a talking with some guy named ******** he was the point leader on the larger team and refused to switch which I think goes abit against your creedo.

Just so I don't end this with some sour stuff like that, awesome server and see you on it some time

Edited to remove naming, sorry I was alittle ticked at the time :P

Re: Howdy/complaint

There is a problem when the teams become that uneven that it will not let you switch teams. People can try but it will just suicide them and put them back on the team they came from.
Thing usually even them selfs out but if they don't you should get on teamspeak and try to find an admin to help you.

btw Welcome to TG hope you enjoy your stay here.

Re: Howdy/complaint

First off welcome to TG.

I like to state that I tried to move to your team several times and I some how could not. I understand how that goes when the teams are so uneven that it just does not become fun anymore. One thing I try to do during the Really late hours when there are very few people on is the try to get the remainder of the people on the team to become one squad and have no commander (the reason for this is that there is so few that the commander just does not have enough to do.) There is times between about midnight and around five AM there are no admins around (The fact is I really don't know as when I have looked there weren't) and that can cause problems, but the best thing to do is keep trying to get the game on even terms as there is no other way that I can see that we who play during the really late times to get things done. The server can at time become so over loaded with pubers that play become really bad. But all we can on the late night gaming is to try to bring order into all that chaos.

Re: Howdy/complaint

Welcome to TG! Late night, accodring to posts by other people has been a bit of a problem, but the admins are working on it. There are many ways to voice a complaint, especially when naming a specific person, but the public forums is really not the place. Please make sure to read all of rules and SOP's for the forums and servers.
PM and Admin or the person with which you had a problem, type into chat while in game if somoen is violating the rules. The Admins review the chat and will take retroactive action if it deems appropriate.
Jump onto teamspeak and find an Admins(if one is available late at night) and ask for assistance.

Re: Howdy/complaint

Other than naming names, there is nothing wrong with voicing a valid complaint. As stated above, when things are that unbalanced always look for an admin in TeamSpeak or send a PM to one if you can and hopefully we'll rectify the situation.

Welcome to TG, see you on the battlefield!

Re: Howdy/complaint

I have noticed a few times when trying to switch sides it will not allow you to do so even when teams are so uneven. That must be a bug or something a long with the so many others I see in BF2142.

Re: Howdy/complaint

I disconnected/reconnected to help the other side out, and things eventually evened up, although we got our butts kicked pretty good for a while there. Once one team gets short-stacked, it seems like the rest don't feel like sticking around for the slaughter, which makes it even worse.

On a side note, I've periodically had the game freeze when clicking "join game" for a new match (twice tonight). I kill the process and rejoin, thinking maybe the server crashed, but noticed only about 1/3 of the players have dropped, usually more on one side than the other. I think that's how the unbalance gets started. Is this new since 1.4? I don't recall it happening much, if at all, previously.
