If you die dont let your anger out on the LEFT mouse button!

Dont be angry and mash the left mouse button when you get shot. You have 2 tries to click it and call for a medic - donīt waste those in the first few splitseconds.

Look at your minimap. Are medics close? Is there a posibility someone might pass by in 10 seconds?

Spread out your calls. It sometimes happens that your wounded body does not show on the minimap but good medics can make out your approximate position just from the "MEDIC" shouts.

So... use the left mouse button wisely - even if at the moment you feel the urge to punish it for your own stupidity!

I was not aware you only had two shout outs. I've been downed next to people who spam that button so much I wish I could stand up and stab them a few more times to shut them up.

Re: If you die dont let your anger out on the LEFT mouse button!

I'm guilty of doing this on a regular basis, because I use the Baur on Single Fire. I don't do it out of frustration, though; it just generally happens to me when someone runs in front of me, and I don't have time to switch it to Full Auto, so I instead find myself clicking away on Single Fire.

Of course, when I die, I usually still click a few more times out of reflex, before I realize that I'm already lying there wounded.

But I didn't know there were only two chances to call for a Medic. That's very interesting.

You touched on what happens to me a lot. When you hear someone call for a medic repeatedly after death, don't jump to the conclusion that they're doing it on purpose. Numerous times I waste away my two medic calls because I'm furiously clicking in single shot trying to take my killer down. Sometimes you can't help it...

This is a good idea in theory but in practice things never happen like this. The battlefield is too chaotic to notice those "Medic!" shouts. Perhaps if you play on a 32 or less man server it may be possible, but even then, the fights sometimes get really chaotic.

I don't look for corpses on the ground and I don't listen to "man down" calls -- I look for blue Xs on the minimap and I listen for "need a revive" on VoIP. That's just the reality of the game.

I use it actually pretty often now. Even if I only use it to spread out the calls a bit for maximum efficiency.

Im pretty sure there's no X on the minimap after 'bout 3 seconds after the medic call, I could be wrong here though

Re: If you die dont let your anger out on the LEFT mouse button!

The X lasts until you've been 'killed' and spawn back in. Pretty sure that if you call for a medic an arrow with a cross will appear on the medic's HUD leading them to you just like if you called for a medic because you were low on health.

I can see how it would work on quieter maps, or when the Blue X doesn't appear (that happens sometimes by the way: you'll be down and reviveable but the Blue X won't show up in the minimap) but I always look for the minimap with regards to my revives.
I don't think it makes me any less effective of a medic: my highest teamwork points, by far above heals, resupplies and repairs, are revives. It could be that I prefer to see things (minimap) instead of hearing them (medic shouts).

Re: If you die dont let your anger out on the LEFT mouse button!

I find all methods are best. Spread out the medic calls, and put a shout out through VoIP. One of them normally gets my attention, although I normally am on revive frenzy. Its the main reason I use light armor... just so I can run to a dead teammate faster and run further to them.

On a side note, revive revive revive. It is almost ALWAYS better to revive a friendly than kill an enemy. If you are assault, don't be a DA and stand over a dead teammate spamming the rounds. Pick him up. I cant count how many times I have had 2+ assault/meds standing over me when I died because they were too busy dealing with some enemy. If someone's shooting them already, help the downed boy. I was asked the other night how the hell do I get such a high score, and in one word its REVIVES. I am consistently with about 1/2 to 2/3 of my score coming from teammate points.

Not to mention, if you want to be loved by your teammates, be the medic who stands back and runs in for the revives. I often like to lead by example, running into the fray, but there are so many times when it is appropriate to tag behind your squad by a few meters so a nade wont get you yet you are close enough to bring them all back from the brink.
