What's the difference between the two servers?

Hi!

Totally new to ArmedA (in fact have never played it but it looks like a damn good substitute for PRM) and have a question.

Noticed there are 2 servers , one is co-op the other is persistent.

What's the difference?

Txs

Re: What's the difference between the two servers?

Hey Beer Hunter-

We are primarily only running the "coop" server now, but I'll explain the differences regardless. Really they are both coop servers (All human players play on the same side vs. enemy AI) but there are some PvP missions as well.

The persistent server mostly featured missions that allowed for multiple (unlimited) respawns that don't end when all players are dead or have disconnected. The next time a player connected the mission picked up where it was last left off.

The "coop" server differs in that most of the missions have more concrete objectives and end when all players are dead or disconnected (no or very limited respawns). This is now our main focus for ArmA at TG.

Let us know if you have any more questions and I hope the above explanations help!
