WeGame Public Beta 1.0.2 Released!

WeGame.com -- Youtube meets FRAPS

The following is being reported from the WeGame blog.

Hello WeGamers!

Today we released version 1.0.2 of our client. It’s just a little update to support a few more games, but we wanted you to know that we’re keeping at it! Again, it will be automatically detected and downloaded the next time you start the WeGame client. We’ve added a few more games for you guys in this release based on your input. The WeGame client can now record:

* Warsow
* EVE Online
* Lord of the Rings Online
* America’s Army

While the last three of these games will also have new categories on the website, Warsow will be categorized and uploaded under the Quake Series on the website. Look for them there! Games currently on the roster for addition are:

* Medal of Honor: Airborne
* Dawn of War
* Command and Conquer Generals
* Age of Empires 3
* The Battle for Middle Earth
* Supreme Commander
* Lineage 2
* Unreal Tournament 3
* Armed Assault
* Quake Wars Enemy Territory

As you can see, we’ve got a lot on our plate, but we’re definitely always open to more. Please let us know at help@wegame.com.

To address known bugs with the client:

* A small number of users are having a Windows crash error when they attempt to launch WeGame. While we are working on a solution, some users have found that uninstalling and reinstalling the client has eliminated the error. We’d like to prevent it altogether, so if this is happening to you, please email us at help@wegame.com with as much information about your system as possible.
* Known sound issues:

o Recording only your mic
o No sound at all
o Distorted/out of sync/staticy sound

* Users attempting to connect through a proxy are unable to login to the client. We are working on a solution, so please bear with us!

I like this app a lot, I just wish they would remove that orange square in the top left corner cause it covers up my FPS in PR...

It 's quite funny to hear yourself speak though, now I finally know what I sound like when playing PR/TF2

.

This weekend I recorded 20 minute vid, size was 1,5 GB. They should include a converter to MOV in the next version because AVI is waaaay to big. If anyone knows a good, free tool to convert AVI to MOV, please share with the rest of us.

You can compress AVI way down as well, use windows movie maker. Its not the best but it does work.

If you have videos on YouTube that you want to convert to AVI for upload to WeGame then this program is easy to use and free

Either it won't hook into Team Fortress 2, or it fails too hard to function on Windows 2000.
