Trouble with Frontlines Install

Apparantly I am the only one having this problem. I found only a couple hits on a regular search and no answers. Any ideas?

Yes, I downloaded the beta from fileplanet, ran the install and got this error.

After a good bit of searching, I found the answer to the problem. For anyone else having this problem you will need to have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or later installed which can either be downloaded here or updated via windows update.

Oh, I would've guessed that the download was corrupted somehow.

I thought so as well but after downloading it a second time, that got ruled out. After updating my .NET Framework (just rebuilt PC and have a fresh install of Windows XP) via windowsupdate.com, the install ran like a charm. Further research on the beta forums confirmed my suspicions.

well my problem is i just downloaded it from fileplant and when i click on the application it just hangs ? i have vista and all i see is the hour glass going and going ? what am i doing wrong says in email with beta key to do this ....
Note: You MUST uninstall 0.2.2 through Windows uninstaller program.

XP: Please goto - "Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs"
Vista: Please goto - "Control Panel - Programs and Features"

Mine hung in vista as well, it took a good 5 minutes for the install manager to come up, you may just need to be patient. Try starting the install and grabbing some lunch and come back to success....I hope.

Mine actually hung in is XP also. Not that long but a good 2 or 3 minutes.
