Mods?

Any news on new Crysis mods that will appeal to the TG community? The SDK 1.0 has been out for a bit of time now...anyone know of anything to report?

Re: Mods?

The Mechwarrior: Living Legends (MWLL) and Jurassic Park mods for Crysis have both been included in an article in PC Gamer magazine about four mods to watch out for in 2008.
I don't know about the Obsidian Edge mod, but I think some of the people at TG might be dev's on that one...

This website is pretty good for news about Crysis mods, it gets updated pretty often.
Also, check out www.crymod.com, that is a good website.

Welcome to the release of our brand new mod for Crysis, Team Action! Combining the existing Instant Action game mode in Crysis with the classic multiplayer game mode team deathmatch, this mod promises to be an enjoyable experience for anyone who has ever played Crysis multiplayer!

Mod Overview:

Team Action takes the fun from the much loved team deathmatch mode and applies it to the Crysis maps. Although it may seem rudimentary, having the ability to co-ordinate flanking maneuvres and rush chokepoints with your team in tow is a thrilling feeling, and one that we have finally made possible with this mod.

In Team Action, the players are organised into two teams, either US or North Korean, with each team having its own kill count displayed at the top of the screen at all times. The concept is simple; the team that reaches the pre-set kill count first wins! If you would like to download the mod, it can be found here.

Well at least they got a team deathmatch thing going, bad news it took a mod to do it.

Re: Mods?

I tried playing for a few minutes tonight, and I'd say mods, or at least some new maps, are a must. Entirely too close quarters for a game which gives me better stealth options than any I've played.

Plus... you can drop trees on your enemies. Strategically. You just can't let that sort of thing go to waste.
