Oilfield Defense of Comm Station 4-6-08

Last night we ran into heavy resistance on Oilfield. When we joined the match, we were WC and pushed back to our main.

Squaddies:

IO Dragone SL {Spec Ops Ground Support}
G REGSMITH (I think) {Tanker not sure}
Cosmoto {Chopper EMP Tech}
Scarface6174 {Sniper/AT Air Support}

We pushed them back quickly and then the match really started. I set up sniping from a slightly concealed position opposite the oil towers in the middile. Since cappers usually set up there so a sniper in the towers can't kill them, it's the perfect place. I got at least 10 kills from that single spot. Then they brought an APC up and killed me....

IO dragone would place C4 on the point in case I couldn't kill the enemy quickly enough. Cosmoto provided great air support and G REGSMITH wrecked em' with a tank.

The thing that won us the match was our teamwork taking out tanks and APCs. Someone would call out "tank from the left!" Then Cosmoto would EMP it, and me and G REG would usually finish it off. (this is after I switched to AT) If we ever lost the point, or were under heavy attack, IO would hide for us to respawn. It worked well.

Truthfully, when everyone was calling out incoming infantry, choppers, and armor, we did well. The next round we did not call out the appropriate targets and did lose the match.
