Exclamation Fix for "file sum/name mismatch error" on Server 2

Getting this error? Here's how to correct it.

Navigate to the COD4 install directory, then go to the Mods folder, then go to the tgtrm1.5 folder.

Delete all .iwd files in that folder.

The next time you connect, you will download all of the ones currently on the server.

Problem should be resolved.

I take that back. It's still not working for Twin Ridge.

I will definitely have to try this, the only error i get for that is in Karkand. No other map kicks me for it.

Re: Fix for "file sum/name mismatch error" on Server 2

A lot of what causes this is if you download a map from another server then go to a different server who has either an update of that map or a earlier version. The game reads the map but a file mismatch between the two happens. KD and I found this the other night and cleaned out and re-downloaded the maps and works great. The only problem right now is if you have a slow connection it would take a while to download the maps.

Yep, sounds right. More than likely its the same file, and size, but the settings are configured differently in game. So it gives you that error.

Yeah I should have mentioned that one too. Just delete the maps from the usermaps folder and redownload.

Ok cool thank Bubba. I'll delete Twin Ridge and let it redownload through the server.
