Is there anywhere I can find various tactics that I can use?
I am new to the site and I have found a few listed on the forums. But is there a general list or something I can have or look at. Better yet if there are some made up for Gtactix. Thanks for any help. |

Re: Tactics For COD4
Welcome. Hope you enjoy yourself.
We have a tactics sub forum here: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/call-du...cs-discussion/ It hasn't been active lately, but there's a wealth of info to be found there. If you still have questions, then post here again. We'll hook you up. If you haven't read the SOP's and primer yet, follow the link in my sig. Also check out these if you like http://www.tacticalgamer.com/call-du...-support-faqs/ http://www.tacticalgamer.com/call-du...modifications/

Re: Tactics For COD4
My best advice is to learn the maps really well. Once you know the maps inside and out tactics become much easier to accomplish. I know when people keep calling out "the rose shop" and you don't know where that is your not going to be able to do much tactically. Sometimes the best tactic on our server is to just hang back, listen to the regulars and react accordingly. Nothing fancy but a player that doesn't run headlong, communicates and is pointing in the right direction is a team asset.
Past that Drona has covered all the details.

Re: Tactics For COD4
Your average and basic comms on the S&D server will be like this (From an cynical point of view):
Attackers /w bomb Bomb Carrier: I'm going to (A or B) (Others typically follow) (Sporadic Comms regarding gunfire direction and teamwork) (Cross Fingers and hope the bomb is planted and blown up) OR: Bomb Carrier: (Silence) Other players: Where are you going?! (Bomb carrier now rushes into the bomb site and is shot, the briefcase is now out in an open field) (Repeat your finger crossing) Defenders: Player ABC: I'm going A (Note: they don't say their game name to let everyone know who they are) Player Ikonic: Ikonic is going B. Player XYZ: (silence, but eventually heads to A) Now the comms can go one of multiple ways: ________________ Player ABC: OMG THEY'RE ALL GOING A!!!! (Everyone but Ikonic flocks to A, leaving B exposed or under-defended) Player XYZ: (Runs into the group of enemy to die) (The bomb is planted or the defenders/attackers are killed) ____ Ikonic and Player DEF: They're going B (Player DEF and Ikonic die to attackers) (No one notices this and the bomb is planted) Player ABC: OH GOD! They're shooting at ME! (Player ABC dies) (Player G runs to the bomb site to defuse) Player G: Defusing! (Player G is shot because the bomb site is being observed by the attackers) (The remaining players now search for the attackers and the bomb site is blown up because the defenders lost track of time) OR: (The remaining defenders kill the attackers because the attackers are in predictable locations and defuse the bomb in time) _______ The entire team: They're going A (A defenders wait for the A attackers to arrive) (B defenders goes into a flanking fire position leading to A, or come up behind them.) (Sporadic, yet helpful comms from players to their team or other individuals) (The attackers are then killed) The last scenario is a perfect world scenario.
