Re: Bob Barr - the small government candidate
I'll probably end up voting for him...
He's probably one of the most electable nominees the Libertarians have ever had. And that's why he's not particularly appealing to me...

Re: Bob Barr - the small government candidate
Well said.
Some have suggested that they'll vote for a Democrat just to punish the Republican party for picking such poor candidates, thereby forcing it to pick someone better next time, or in other races. If you instead vote for Barr, you give a better idea of what you really want. (Assuming you want smaller government, fiscal responsibility, and personal liberty.)

Re: Bob Barr - the small government candidate
Just for fun I started reading some of the comments left by the Libertarians on your links, Scratch. Half of them are so convinced that he's just a Republican in disguise that they refuse to vote for him. One of them outright admitted that he doesn't see "getting elected" as a worthwhile pursuit of the Libertarian party.
I am now more convinced than ever that we will never break our 2-party monopoly. =/

Re: Bob Barr - the small government candidate
And Obama Wins!!!!!
Exactamundo. There is exactly one reason why McCain can win and it's because of the democratic split. How head-bangingly retarded must you ("libertarians") be to split the conservative votes and hand the win to the democrats? Never learned from that Perot thing a while back? Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos. "One of them outright admitted that he doesn't see "getting elected" as a worthwhile pursuit of the Libertarian party." ↑ THIS Very little of the governmental problem is executive. The purpose of the executive branch is to mediate the other branches and have an on-the-spot decision-maker in times of crisis. The libertarians should go after legislative, from city hall to capitol hill, and bust the skulls of the turkeys who are beholden to special interest, personal interest, or lack of interest, in their positions.

Re: Bob Barr - the small government candidate
"honestly is it impossible for a true canidate to enter the ring and support gay rights?"
If you do, you immediately LOSE everyvote that is against chocolate-dipped bananas. If you don't, you keep them, and you still get votes from fairies and fairy-fans because as long as all candidates are marriage-traditionalists, the point is moot, and thus you get those votes on the issues you base your platform on.

Re: Bob Barr - the small government candidate
lol nice metaphors or w\e you would want to call that..
But what Bob said, definitely have to agree with that.. I would much rather see the National Defense holding out people at the boarders (illegals or traders (guns/drugs/etc.)) and in certain times areas known for violence, |

Re: Bob Barr - the small government candidate
It's more conservative than the socialists and facists that call themselves "democratic" and "liberal," so I'll draw the line where I see the distinction.
