Microphone volume

Does anyone know how to add a piece of code to force the +20db mic volume on my audio preferneces in bf2? I check the box in the audio options but it never changes the sound level and is unchecked every time I look again.

C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001

Open the Audio.con file with wordpadand find the line:

Code:

AudioSettings.setVoipBoostEnabled 1

Make sure it is set to 1 and save it.

Try loading the game again.

If it is a realtek sound decoder, there is a fix for it with windows xp. I am not sure where it is, but I could dig it up if you need it.

If it's a Realtek, try running MicCal.exe under C:\Program Files\Realtek\InstallShield. For me it reset whatever was broken in the mic settings.
