thoughts about 1.5

personally i think operation shingle is my new favorite map which combines my favorite maps such as tunis harbor, camp gibraltar, belgrade, and minsk and cerebere. also wake island is a great map too i just love the titan and the titan dock thats my favorite place on the map also being copilot for nightdragon42 is cool. i personally think that 1.5 patch was really great although there are some glitches like in the huge tower in operation shingle which is EU homebase it somtimes shows the enemies shadow when they are above you (if u know what i mean i cant really explain it well)

WELL the main questoin is what do u guys think about the new patch and the new maps?
oh also my mic wont work. i have a headset and my mic on it wont work but my sound on my headphone works this problem happened when i downloaded the patch anyone know why?

Re: thoughts about 1.5

I personally have found the new maps very fair and very good. Granted, me and Lyra teamed up on Wake, so the armor on EU didn't stand much of a chance, even though I missed 1/4 of my missile shots. Shingle seems like it could very well become the new infantry map for TG, there are countless paths between flags I've seen in only 1 round!

Note: Poster is drunk at point of posting.

It seems that something has changed with the shadows on the map. Building interiors are now very light and shiny, as if they're no longer being affected by shadows. I noticed this after I switched to widescreen. Anyone else?

i like the layout and concept of wake island. I don't like i have hardly any frames on that map, like the other titan maps, but worse.

Operation Shingle is a great map. Its pretty big for an infantry map meaning there are lots of pathways to get by when attacking, which means great squadplay

The EU titan AA guns are unfairly low on Wake Island. And they cover the whole map

I see this only being a problem for infantry. A good pilot shouldn't be presenting much of a target to the AA guns.

Re: thoughts about 1.5

I love both the new maps. Due to my inability to be on a titan (titan stutter that nothing fixes) I generally get permission from my SL to sit in the AA guns, and spot infantry in the cargo hold or things like that. I also like hunting Gunships and Transports in those guns. They're pinpoint accurate xD

Shingle is just fun. So many spots to go around, I love attacking it now that the attacking team gets those 30 extra tickets :P

Yeah, I found that during beta testing, I was looking at it when BZ55 pushed me in. He must have pushed too hard, he fell in too .

What on earth did they do to the SAAW?

Re: thoughts about 1.5

Raz, I think they have shortened the lock on distance. At least that is what I have found while playing Wake Island. It doesn't seem like the SAAW can track beyond visual distance anymore. I have only used the SAAW on Wake since the patch, so I do not know if it is different than other maps. Maybe it was nerfed specifically for Wake.

Re: thoughts about 1.5

Seems to take longer to lock on now than it did before, but that might be due to my limited experience with it.
