Looking for turtorials for mapmaking.

Seems I have a hour or so were I’m not doing anything everyday so I figured I’d give my creative mind a shot. Only problem is I don’t know how to get started. I’ve done some looking but most of what I’ve found is video tutorials. While those are good id like some good old fashion print. But if you have any video winners id take those as well.

I know we have a few fantastic map makers here and was wondering how you got started off.
