I sold one of my black powder weapons this morning. I got $300USD
Which of the following should I get?
Also I rememeber reading a while back that the battlefield series does not like/support wide screen LCD.
I know nothing about LCDs so I am counting on my fellow Irr's to steer me to the correct purchase. the local sale ends here this sat 07 June.
my vid card has both types of outputs, an old X800 256mb pci-x card. and I run xp sp2.

I have two Samsung 204BW (older 20" widescreens) for two years now. I love them. If the newer models are anything like mine then you can't go wrong.

I just bought a 25.5 inch Asus, its actually not the greatest especially for what i paid for. So what i am trying to say it that be careful of what you buy and for what price. If its to good to be true, it probably is.

Fetterman, I'd say go Samsung. Screensize as big as you can afford.

As per our PM's if you want or could settle for a 17" LCD, I could dontate one and all you need to pay is shipping.

iI'd go with a Samsung 19". I have a BenQ FP91G and it's great.

• 8000:1 CR is plenty for games
• With your video card, why ask it to pump 22" pixels and adjust the screen for a game that has known problems with widescreen?
• Samsung is a better brand, but LG and BenQ are great for their price, and even have some advantages.
• Screen adjustments is an important factor to consider.
• Every time I spend more than I really need to, I regret it later, with a few exceptions.
• As long as it has 2 ms response and good contrast, your eye is not likely to be able to detect the differences unless you're doing video, graphic design, or some other visually-demanding work that requires total color/and saturation accuracy.

Sounds like you've done your research, but remember--the great sale this week will be replaced with another elsewhere. Tech4less is a good company with some astonishingly inexpensive electronics. Especially in their ding 'n dent section!

BeSiege, your right, I did some more thinking and some ciphering this afternoon and and talking to my two kids about thier clothing needs, I decided I am not going to purchase a new screen. The kids need clothes, I really could use a new pair of sneakers, mine are ripped out down the sides and my toes hang out. I've had them since 2005.
At least I can use this old tablet to get online and read about whats happening.

I'll be PMing Apophis right off to tell him I can't finish paying for my yearly SM too.

Axis, True, they will be other sales later on this summer and fall, then the christmas sales.

I usually just go buy a used crt for 10 to 25 dollars.

fetterman i'd advise you to go with sticking to your families and your needs. Its a luxary to be able to be on tactical gamer but clothing and such is a nessesity dude. I can only say you should probably only buy it if you already have everything you need. then watever is left you could use on a moniter if you like. I'm merely 14 and not that wise but that is my advise.

yea thats what we did today tow, my kids didn't have exams today so we went clothes shopping. darn that money didn't last long. I did get a new pair of 30 dollar sneakers tho. paid for everything and put them on right outside of k mart and left the old ones in their trash bin there. feels good to have footware that keeps my feet inside LOL.
