No battlefield for me...

I reinstalled BF on a fresh install of xp, and now EA says I have 3 concurrent licenses running for it. Please wait till 1 expires" Only problem is, its only been on one HD for at least 2.5 months, so now I"m waiting for EA to close out these open installations. I was very specific in the problem and what I need done to fix it, even told them how to do it LOL (ran into problems like this before on other ea downloads) but somehow I get the feeling I'll get a response like "Have you tried rebooting" :P

Anyhow I'm out of commision until its fixed.

AND I was only thousand career points or so from General finally! grrrrr

Tow:
Well lets face it almost 95% of the issues that EA tech support has to deal with are from completely computer illiterate individuals who are still looking for the 'any' key... In short they get a lot of stupid questions that they have to sort out and try to help.

I've done phone tech support here and there... It is SO much fun to try to solve these issues

Most people don't realize:
A: I'm not trained for providing the support you want/need
B: I can't see what you are talking to me about when we are talking on the phone
C: If I was tech support I would be charging you $9.95 every ten minutes
D: (sometimes) I wasn't alive when you bought that thing...
E: Just because you bought it from where I work does not mean we prove support, the manufacturer does that.

[/sarcasm]

Anyone who has worked retail can tell you this list could go on for pages and pages...

McLovin: Sorry to hear about your issue, but hopefully by spelling it out for them it will get fixed quickly. Best of luck.

So true, unless you raise h**l, you are only going to talk to some guy who is reading prompts. It would cost too much to fully educate everyone in the tech center. Raise enough h**l and you will usually get put through to someone who was actually trained. I can't blame them though, like Draken posted, most of the time the problems are the user.
