Titan Mode
Here's a thought about the Titan Strategy, if you want to run it as an infrantry. Give me your opinion, but PLEASE be Concret and explicite.
My point of view as an infantry. 1) As SL you cannot only think about what YOU have to do and your only game. You must Anticipate the move and the game of the others SL, in your team as well as in the opponent team. A) Some maps, of course, just requiered you to act/react, take positions independently of the rest of the game, for example : Titan ! i) First, A beacon well spotted where there's less contestations and fight from both faction will be very helpfull if it's near a silo. Reason? you dont really need the squad leader as a spawn point in Titan because there's several spawn point on the map (Silo, titan, Tranpost, APC). Here's the key, you got to use these several spawn point, PLUs your spawn beacon to force the oppenent teams to move from position to position. NOTE : DO NOT use the beacon except if it's neccessary. TRY to NOT use the beacon if you think there unit that can see you and kill you (they are too many or something) ii) Secondly : Consider the strength of your opponent. If there's a bunch of Power Gamer you CANT just hold a Strategic silo and just defend it. Why? Gunship with a good driver, cupple of tank, a transport witha cupple of good players and they might recap. They do? you got to reorganise evrything deploy efforts and your SM may be unhappy. To avoid this, you can make the opponen run after the wind. What I mean? Split the squad in two groups of 3 (Basic stuff : Medic, Support with EMP, Engy) Both of these teams will try to take the two less contested Silo (5 silo, always two almost left away). To make it, all that you have to do is to stick up with your 3 mans and work on it. Of course you may failed your capture. But know that your 3 mans will probably engage a full squad (6 players) of the oppoenent team which is good for others team mate that are also working on more contested area. Two things that you have to keep in mind : Move fast (use buggy, transport and spawn beacon) ANd the medic in your Squad will have to Stay in back to make sure that if someone die, the medic is still up for the revive. REMIND : Once your capturing the silo, you got to get it quick. The support have to put IDS down, the Engy lay down mines and go on the silo. the Medic stay in BACK. iii) In the Other hand, if the opponent team is less strong, you can just take a strategic Silo (like the silo 3 in Hightway tampa) and defend it. (Dont forget to use the AA gun) Then you can leave the job of capture to the others Squad in your team. Here are 2 solid plan for an INFRANTRY squad. It is effective (I've tested it many times with cupple of folks) for the Titan part : Capture Silo. B) ONce the Titan Shield is Destroyed i) Scenario 1 : The adverse titan shield is destroy first : You will have to quickly move on the adverse Titan with anticipation (means, a minute before their shield's going down you grab an APC an try to head up under the enemy titan. Shield's down : get on the Titan and split teams to save time. Corridor 1 and 2 are the first one you got to get. Simple reason : 3 and 4 are shorter and easier to take. If the enemy already have a good defence set up it may be extremly hard to make it through. You will need smokes grenades and coordination (APM, RDX may piss you off). You can't pass throught a corridor well defended? leave the enemy Titan and go for Silo. Otherwise : waste of time and energy. ii) Scenario 2 : Our Titan Shield is destroyed First : That case is very different. I would generally splitthe squad in 2 groups of 3. Yep, once again ! 3 got to go in defense (if needed) and 3 left go help another squad on the silo capture. For those who remains in defense you will need : A medic with rockets, One support with IDS and Centrygun and maybe a good recon (who know when and where to place APM and RDX) or another support. You will also need this word PATIENCE !! You got to wait in the corridor 1 or 2. DONT MOVE JUST LET THEM COME TO YOU !!! or you'll get wipe .... trust me ! Let them come to us is the KEY word of 2142. Well, this is just an overview of a cupple of strategy that you can use in Titan mode, as an infantry squad. There's alots of differents effective strategy, but I like the idea of going as an infantry in Titan mode. Give me your opinion, you can complet/change/add/substract stuff, but please be explicite! Good tips and strategies if you haven't played titan so much!
Splitting your squad is never easy if there isn't experienced players though... More tips would be great.

Don't mean to be a killjoy, but you could consider running a spell check on the post. Its a bit difficult to read, otherwise.
On the content of the post, you make some good points, although I would strongly advise against dividing a squad into permanent fireteams. It hinders coordination, and causes confusion over VOIP. If you want to work with three people, do what Zhohar does and make the squad three people only. |

I think I just got a little bored of getting armor and being kill by Lorax or someone else in that da*m gunship !! ![]() That's why I've tested the infantry strategy in titan, and with an effective Squad splited, you can be very annoying for the opponnent... |

As you said, in Titan, the gunship and transport become extremely vital. The gunship can wipe out the soft targets and also take out armor. Squads holding silos should make air defence just as important and ground defence. Have squad members take up the AA guns as well as the rorshes. Have your engys not just use the pilum, but have them ready to switch their kits to the SAWW.
The transport is almost as deadly. It functions as a spawn point just like the APC. From the offensive angle, the air drops can be a great way to get infantry onto the silo or the enemy titan. Once you drop the units you can land and share the spawn point with the entire team.

That's a very good point. This actually happens a fair amount now that I think about it. It's not the smartest thing for a gunship to do though.
