I've been wanting to do this for a while, but only just got myself in gear to do it.

When I was a kid I spent a LOT of years building sci-fi models with my lego. Star Wars (before the junk licensed stuff), Star Trek, Battletech, Robotech, eXoSquad, X-Com, even my own creation space capital ships.

My favorite models were always the Battletech mecha though, lots of hours spent figuring out leg articulations and trying to make do with the stock at hand (1000+ pieces pre 1990's)

So here I offer up my first build, mainly a training exercise to get me used to the program, the pieces, and getting back into my creative groove after a decade and a half since I left home and the LEGO's behind. Now on to more challenging work, some of the larger Battletech/Robotech Mecha (Maruder, Rifleman, Monster) and hopefully culminating into some of the alien and transformable mecha.
