Noob needs help with RvS system files
Hello everyone,
I'm new here and am also a member of the RvS US Marshals Clan. I had been having RvS FPS issues and found an article written by Jex regarding "tweaks" to the user, DARE and ravenshield.ini files, which would slightly improve those frame rates. Anyway to the point. Unfortunately, I failed to create a saved copy. I made a few changes in the RvS.ini (internet connect speed, display refresh rate, min. frame rate etc.) nothing major. However, there were .int files in the system folder that windows did not recognize and I could not open. For whatever reason, I changed the .int extention to .ini and was able to view the file contents. Then, I opened the ravenshield game and now all my menu options are in code rather than plain text. Example, on the start screen where the menu would read: Campaign Single Player Multiplayer Options Quit I get: ?int?Menu.R6Player.Campaign? ?int?Menu.R6Player.SinglePlayer? ?int?Menu.R6Player.Multiplayer? And so on....... all in huge font across the screen. I re-named the file extentions I changed back to .int but to no avail. I even did a sytem restore and still the same problem. Has to be a simple fix, can anyone plz help! Thanks, Marshal=Law= scctrnr@hotmail.com |
