My favorites were the Mustang in Fargo, the true story behind the wardrobe malfunction and the Ameriquest taser scare. Oh, and the Tabasco one! That was great!

IMO the commericals this year were pretty weak..

But the Pats won! So who cares!

<EDIT> Ok, now that I'm more awake (and less hung over) I can make an actual post. I feel the commercials this years Superbowl sucked. All of them. They werent the traditional Superbowl commercials that we're seen every year. They were watered down so the FCC couldnt find anything to bitch and complain about.

I heard on Howard this morning, that one of the commercials had to be edited because Fox didnt want the term "wardrobe malfunction" to be on the air... idiots.

Started to watch it, fell asleep at half-time though.

Still New England won which is nice and it was quite a tight game and not particularly high-scoring.

While I agree that these commercials were not as good as years past, I don't think it has anything to do with the FCC. iFilm.com has the banned (turned down by the network or the NFL) commercials, too. I thought the one with the lustful priest was cute and didn't really see anything sacriligious. But I certainly didn't want to see Rooney's bare butt while watching the Super Bowl...

Howard's an idiot. Bud Light did an entire commercial based on the wardrobe malfunction.

BTW, the second-half airing of the godaddy ad was pulled because someone felt it was inappropriate (after the fact).

Dave. Of course it has to do with the FCC. Fox didnt want to piss them off and get fined so they they told all the advertisers to tone down their commercials as to not offend anybody, therefore not getting a fine.

I watched some of the superbowl this year as well as a couple of six nations rugby games. Having never watched much American Football, I was amazed that they took all evening to play an hour long game. Also it took me ages to even have the vaguest clue what was going on, who had the ball, or what they were trying to do.

While I gained some appreciation for both rugby and American Football, I am still not converted from The Beautiful Game.
