After waiting 20-30 mins to get into the server because I can't afford to pay for a reserved slot yet, I have been kicked on map change for someone I've never seen play on the TG servers before. Sometimes, it is a regular, but RARLY is it a paying member. I've looked into this, and supposivly i load too slowly, but why does it kick me and then rejoin me on map change, only to kick me again, sending me to wait 20-30 MORE min to get in, only to be kicked again?


Has anyone else had this problem? This is REALLY making me mad.. because I'm on spring break, and I cant play on the only server I can play on :\

I have been in you shoes, I dont understand exactly how the reserved slots work but I think there is a post about it somewhere. Believe me, out of the 1000's of css servers there are only two I play on. Membership is where its at; You are helping support a community of kick ass gamers and you never get kicked for random, soon to be tg adicted players.

Just a quick question... I'm just curious as to where the money goes? I mean, I know that server costs are pretty much static, I imagine...so where would my money go? Does it just go in the pocket of an admin?

LOL.. Nope.. The proceeds from membership go to pay for the servers we rent. We don't rent "virtual" gaming servers from a reseller, but dedicated hardware that is used exclusively for Tactical Gamer. As the membership numbers increase to the point where we can launch a new server, we order up another box and start putting up more games!

Up until fairly recently, Counter-Strike used to share a box with Natural Selection. Due to the influx of supporting members that came in as a result of how we run our CS:Source server, we were able to get a new box dedicated to JUST CS:Source.

In addition to the gaming servers, we also have funds allocated to support the web server, database server, teamspeak server, etc. We are VERY close now to a point where we will be launching yet another server.
