Screeching Fans! BweeeEEEEE

It happens after they get dusty, right?

That loud, high-pitched whine from the fans, probably the one on my CPU. What should I do? Take them off and blow real hard, or use a rag, or buy a can of air shooter stuff?

It drives me nuts!

Could be a bearing. You can try shooting some lightweight grease into them, or a penetrating oil, but often they can't be saved. New fans are cheap.
