The 3dmark2001 Post
Post your latest (or fastest) 3dmark 2001 score
including details like gfx card speed (mem/gpu) and any tweaks Please post compare URL's as well. Keep random chat to a min. Random Tips from Overlag & Spectre: Do only the first 4 game tests for a shorter and faster test. Direct X 8.1 and a clean "lean" install of WinXP will be faster. 3.5 CATS are faster than 3.9 (not noticed this myself) |

Pentium 4 2.6C @ 3.52 (270FSB, 5:4mem, PAT on, Turbo on) ASUS P4C800E Deluxe Corsair XMS PC3200 BH5 Winbond chips Powercolor R9700P Flashed w-softmod 9800P bios (380c, 330m) Cat3.9 Windows XP Pro SP2 w-DirectX 9.0b http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7220868 A little tip though...for at least 1500 points higher, install DirectX 8.1a and run a minimum service install of WinXP. Also...for ATi cards..the fastest Cat drivers are the 3.5s. As this is my main gaming rig, I can't take the time to strip it down into a benchie machine. Although I may just see what I can whip up ! ![]() And, of course...for true hardware knowledge..head over to: www.xtremesystems.org/forums Home of the fastest 3Dmark team on the planet. Read, discuss...LEARN!!! |

Yeah...I'd wait if I were you...I still have the receipt and it's going back tomorrow. It overheats like no-ones business and if you don't intend to cool both it and the mem with H2O then it's not gonna OC very much. I'm returning it for a 9800Pro and I'm gonna slap a huge heatsink on that sucker. |
