Half Life/Counter Strike Extra CD Key

Trying to get a friend set up with Steam, under the illusion that its free now. We get Steam downloaded only for it to ask for a valid CD key to download the rest of the game content to actually play.

In retrospect I'm not exactly suprised, but I was wondering if anyone owns multiple copies of Half Life and or Counter Strike and would be willing to share/donate an extra CD key they are not using.

I know this isn't exactly a usual request, and I'm not really expecting a response, but if you do have an extra key, we'd appreciate it. PM please. Thanks.

Yes we know the games cheap. But we're lazy :P

I have my old copy of the HL platium pack, but i was looking to sell it. So maybe if no one else can, i could give you that. or give you the key for some magic cards.. damnit bentley you still never gave me a price for those!

ops: Sorry Jackel. I've been so busy recently, I compleately forgot about them. I've got the next 2 days off, I'll try to price them out.
