Looking forward to meeting you people.

I was drawn here by a post on the Planet Battlefield site. I must say this seems like a place I can come to call home. I hope to see some of you on this evening and introduce myself. I do not know if I am up to par with your abilities but I was a addict of BF and now BF2 after just one night. It has even pulled me away from the racing sim, Life for Speed, which I have been a diehard supporter of for the past 3 years.

Morster, Gimpster, or whatever the hell else you end up calling me.

Skill here isnt a concern in any way. Just ask Root, our lead Counter Strike Admin

All you need to be here is a willingness to learn and a capacity for teamwork.

Welcome aboard Morster! As Kark mentioned... we're not all about skill here... we're about teamwork and 99% of the time teamwork will win over plain skill.

Re: Looking forward to meeting you people.

I find it most remarkable that people who haven't even PLAYED here yet are talking about how good we are.

Re: Looking forward to meeting you people.

Well I wish I could say that my first go on your server was a remarkable experance, but it was anything but. Perhaps this was due to the fast that there were only 2 TG named players, neither in a command capacity. There was near chaos on the server with little direction. I can only assume that things are better when you have a larger presence on the server and my timing is just poor.

When can I most likely fine a large population of TG players there?

The other thing is that 64 players on a 32 player map makes for a very fast style of play with little time to even think let alone plan tactics in my opinion. Anyways I am still looking forward to playing to a server controled by TG.

There were quite a few TG regulars on last night; not a server-full, certainly, but a decent number. With BF2's account system, not everyone has a [TG] or similar in their name.

In general, between about 9p-12a eastern seems to be when TG as a whole buckles down for some gaming goodness, whatever the game may be. BF2 with its insane popularity and 64 player server may offset that time a fair amount, however.

Re: Looking forward to meeting you people.

We're at a stage now where the server is swarming with new players who don't know anything about the game. There are only so many TGers on the server at a time, and often they are on opposite teams. Not to mention the people who keep jumping in the commander role who know very little about its functionality.

When you join the server, look for some familiar forum names and try to join a squad with them. If the squad is full, start a new one and invite others to join. Things will start shaping up soon.

Last night was my first time on TG's server and I had similar impressions early on but two things can make a world of difference in this game:

1) a commander with half a brain
2) a squad of good peoples with VOIP

Get those two things going and you're gonna have yourself some fun. I'd be more than happy to squad up with ya, Morster! I'll be on most nights about 9-12 EST. Hope to see you out there.
