CD/DVD emulation software

I use CDdaemon to image CDs to my harddrive. Unfortunately BF2 won't start if that is even installed. I had tried to just not run it but the game still doesn't start. Now I'm uninstalling it in hopes that I can actually play BF2.

Re: CD/DVD emulation software

Wowz! Is the game even CD required anymore?

Re: CD/DVD emulation software

Well, even after installing CDDaemon I'm still not able to run the game. For some reason it thinks I still have it installed.

Re: CD/DVD emulation software

OK, it appears that CloneCD was the culprit, even though it doesn't even run. Weird cause it still allows Nero.

Re: CD/DVD emulation software

Yes. It requires the CD/DVD to play, and will refuse to run (even install, maybe?) if it detects emulation software.

Here's an ugly link to the support page on the subject.
