Saturday Night games

Really enjoyed my first night here @ TG! Myself, Batknight23, and some other coworkers hopped on the retail server and did our best. You might have seen us mostly together as the "UNF" clan.

Anyways, TG operates just as advertised - less tards, more teamwork

Re: Saturday Night Password Server - Updated

Man we just took off the password at like 1:20AM and wow, that was the best!!!

We have to do this more often. I mean the server was full even with it password protected. Thats freaking awesome!

Re: Saturday Night games

I'll second that. I've played in three servers, and this is the only one I intend to return to. Between tonight and the first time I played (Thursday), I've been having a blast. Now I just need a mic.

Thumbs up Saturday Night's Games (decompression)

Before I head to bed I just wanted to rant about how much fun I had tonight playing an all TG crowd! I had a chance to be commander for one and a half (sorry USMC) maps and, man, was it awesome. The first map (don't recall the name) the objective was for the USMC to hold a peninsula from the MEC. Twice on that map we repelled the MEC from all peninsula CP's and managed to come back from a 90 ticket deficit. It was sweet; you guys knew what you had to do and got it done. Squad one held our main command post and kept our artillery raining death on MEC--so if those of you who played MEC had a beef with artillery, blame it on squad one.

The MEC did an outstanding job of keeping me (literally) running from point to point ahead of assassination squads I was impressed with the organization and discipline I saw in the MEC when I saw snap shots of you activity. Our whole team was sweating it out till the end; it was close and we knew it.

Tonight had too many great points for me to list them all here, but with what I said above it should suffice to say that I bet everyone had a blast win or loose. I know I did--thanks!

I must give props to Tarpan for his leadership of squad 1 here. Was my first night joining his squad and I must say his rep as a SL is no joke. I had so much fun tonight that it's hard for me to single out any one moment as being the best, the entire night was just awesome....well except for that one time when Tarpan took our squad on a 6000 mile boat tour to get to our objective HA! Just kidding bro.

Rincewind, you were one of the best commanders I've ever had. I tried it earlier today and I just couldn't watch the whole map during a scan. You were callin stuff out left and right. I could never keep all my teams busy but you sure seemed to manage it. I would have you for a commander anyday.

Tonight was great, I hope this becomes a regular saturday night event.

Thanks Phelan! What it really came down to was everyone doing or attemping what was asked of them. If I was a SL under me I would question my sanity. I can't imagine how bored Tarpan's men got defending but I had them there the whole time becuase, well, I figured if they could endure guard duty for 15 minutes without running around to hot zones they were definately competent to do it for 60

The best part about being commander (after not having SL's tell you to go to hell) is placing artillary and having a SL say, "Wow, that was beautiful. Thanks."

Fun stuff. I'm just ashamed that I crashed not once or twice, but a full three times. So much for this flight simmer's last ten years.

Up until that point, I had been a part of the USMC team guarding that constantly shelled central waypoint, until the server transferred me to MEC and I stumbled across that Su-34 and decided to try it out.

I also want to give a shout-out to that USMC squad I played with on Songhua Stalemate, squad #6, where we single-handedly held off Chinese attack after attack for the final 10 minutes or so (including some clever paratrooper drops). What a brilliant display of teamwork.

Well, that's the theory. We had a couple of 'tards tonight that didn't read the SOPs, but I'll take that up offline with the admins.

As for you lot, pleasure sniping at you!

Yea it was really cool to be in his squad, this being my first TG only night. I never knew you could have so much fun sitting in one spot for an hour just waiting for the next squad to try and take your flag. This game is awsome but good squad mates take this game to a whole new level.

Actually sitting on that base was the most fun I've had in a game.
