Anyone else use line2 for microphone? Help

If you have a live drive and plug the mic into lin2 input, you will know that Battlefield forces your record to microphone input which means you have to alt-tab every game to change the input back to line2. Very anoying.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I know someone will ask so here's the answer to " Why dont you just plug your mic into the mic input"?
Answer: I have a Shure sm58 with a 1/4 inch jack which fits nicely into the line2 port, there is also a volume knob so my voice never Crackles.
