Why does artillery automatically repait itself?

Today I was spec ops and destroyed the enemy's artillery and make sure it stayed destroyed. I camped the enemy artillery the whole game and made sure no supply boxes dropped near it or engineers came by to fix.

Nonetheless, the artillery would STILL fix tiself every few minutes! What's the point in the spec ops class if nothing you destroy stays destroyed?? Has anyone else noticed this?

ps, map was Fushe pass.

Probably respawns just as aircraft and vehicles do after some time...

Correct. It respawns after a period of time. Need to keep on it to keep it destroyed.

Same as UAV and Scan and every other breakable item.

Often a commander will drop a supply box near the fallen artillery to repair it. Destroy and supply boxes that are on the way down. (I've also asked for supplies so I could get more C4 for the enemy artillery, my teams supply box fixed the one gun I had already destroyed.

It doesn't need a supply box though.

I believe after a period of time, the assets will respawn on their own.
