Just a comment on the great play tonight

I was commander of the MEC for 3-4 maps, one which we literally lost by 1, 1- 0. I would like to say that was the BEST time I have ever had and all the squads were great, and the matchup was also great. I just remember at the end having no scan or uav and just hoping art would take a person out.

Funny, I was just gonna post about how crappy the play has been lately. I guess I need to take a break.

Re: Just a comment on the great play tonight

I was in that game on the USMC side... Insane!! Great play all nite.

These servers are terrific. I was on a pub for about an hour and ugggggggh -- awful!! No teamplay at all -- about 4 people out of 20 in a squad, everyone automatically punishes TKs, no voice, total crap. No fun.. The tactical gamer servers is how this game is supposed to be played.

My only complaint is the lone rangers who avoid getting kicked by starting one man squads.. Can this be blocked somehow? Maybe kick anyone who's in a squad by themself for over 3 minutes or something?

Thanks!

Welcome to TG Joebar! Please take some time to read through our BF2 rules, SOPs & announcements (see my sig link).

In regards to one man squads, the fact that they are one-man isn't the problem. There may be plenty of valid reasons to have a one-man squad. However, this one man squad should be following the orders of the CO. If the CO wants them to merge with another squad, then they should. If the CO has orders for them, they need to follow them. If the one-man squad is not following orders, the CO should report the problem player to the admins via teamspeak and we will handle the situation.

One man squads sometimes have their uses, I find them to be a lot more mobile and quicker than larger squads. A 2 man squad I often use as a general purpose squad. Take undefended posts, blow up commands items, repair mine.

A 2 man squad is 2x as fast as a 6 man squad at getting to places.

I was fighting on the MEC side, had a nice leader and group so we did get ranked as the best squad I believe. Great games last night for sure.

When this happens, please contact an admin via teamspeak and we'll deal with the situation.

I was there and yes that was a great game. Hard fought flags and when it was 5 - 4 what was your thoughts? Mine was don't get killed now and I didn't. I didn't won't to be the last man to die. I played on another game the other night that was 2-0. Just lots of fun to be in these games.

Agreed -- while I can see small squads being useful, I can't see anything less than 2 people being effective.

One guy taking a flag is too slow, one guy blowing up artil/sats really needs at least one other to cover him, one guy attack heli squad isn't good if he cant VOIP with his gunner, etc.. The only worthwile one guy squad would be an airplane guy -- but in that case they should all be in an "air" squad.

Doesn't matter too much -- the server is still a blast and absolutely dominates any stupid pub.. The people playing on it are awesome also!
