Commander + higher rank != great commander

Is there any way we can remove the setup where if a person has a higher rank than you gets the commander position?

I think it was originally disabled, but the recent patch may have reset that. I'll follow up on it. Thanks.

muchos gracias, because we had a really dumb commander earlier who couldn't figure out which base was ours, and was changing my orders every 5 seconds...

Which server are you referring to? SRV1 seems to have global unlocks and global ranks disabled. I'll check on SRV2 now.

The 64 player server (SRV1)
I had a message that stated (along these lines):
The position of commander has been filled by a player of higher rank than you.

You will get that message simply if someone applied before you did regardless of their rank. I did confirm that global ranks were disabled on SRV1 and I also changed SRV2 to follow suit.
