Re: BLACK HAWK Squad read

I was on the BH SQUAD late tonight but on someother server. We OWNED on Kubra Dam! Our pilot was named "Camp_Leader" and man can this dude fly. If you see him sittin on the helipad MOUNT UP because this dude almost always brings the chopper and his crew back in one piece.

My XFIRE ID is: warcriminal2

This is just a weird post. Telling us about some random guy on some random server and his BH skillZ.

Anyway as for xfire. Most of the people that take the time to post here only play here. I suppose a few enjoy unlocking weapons on ranked servers but your best bet is probably to join the servers again to hook up with them.

Re: BLACK HAWK Squad read

I was SL for that squad. And I had a fantastic time playing. Mash City was especially fun even though we spent half the map on the ground fighting tooth and nail for our main CP. Best use of C4 against infantry I ever saw... I don't have xfire though. just regular old IM programs

Re: BLACK HAWK Squad read

I was also with Rincewind on that map and ended up leading the team on the Oman Desert map.

I do feel it is over powered and that it was not DICE's intention to allow an engineer to repair a BH WHILE inside of it. Why else would an engineer have to place the wrench in certain positions to get it to work properly and sometimes it won't work at all for them? This is an exploit, flat out.

No, not flying a BH around with a full squad is an exploit. The engineer repairing in flight is an exploit. It shoudl only be repairable outside of the blackhawk, like ALL other vehicles in this game.

My xfire is telorn.

Re: BLACK HAWK Squad read

I may be wrong, but weren't we able to repair blackhawks, hinds, and the C130 from inside in Desert Combat? Think you had to jump out of a seat tho.

It's not only the blackhawk.

According to the Prima guide, there are 10 different vehicles that allow this: RIB, US Seahawk, US Bradley Linebacker, US Humvee, MEC Mi-27, MEC Tunguska, MEC Vodnik, Chinese Z-8, Chinese Nanjing, Chinese Type 95 AA.

EDIT below ---

I disagree with Telorn on the intention of DICE... I think this is not something that has been overlooked, and it was certainly not overlooked by EA's testers (authors of the Prima Guide). I agree with Telorn, this is a questionnable feature, even though I don't find it imparable.

Re: BLACK HAWK Squad read

Yeah, it was definitely intended.

On another note, I was in a BH squad last nite, all 6 of us in the heli and we were getting owned. I think the new BH defending trick is kamikaze jets.

Re: BLACK HAWK Squad read

Yah I ran into one or two blackhawks last night after getting tired of continually shooting it. One caused the pilot to get alot of team kills and the other time I got all the kills.

After a while I was just able to go ahead and run straight for a blackhawk and everybody would jump out and I would just dodge it. I was also managing to kill a few blackhawks..

Re: BLACK HAWK Squad read

I don't know what it is, but I've been having a bit of luck taking down the transport choppers of both sides by killing the pilot with the grenade launcher. The first time was on Operation Clean Sweep, I shot a grenade at the front of a hovering blackhawk and it gave me a kill. I figured I only hit the crew compartment, but the chopper spiraled out of control and slammed into the ground immediately, giving me 3 more kills. I guess I managed to get the grenade right on the pilot window. I managed to do the same thing to the Chinese transport helicopter last night, too.

Just reaffirms my philosophy: aim for the crew.

Just an FYI: The "Blackhawk" is actually the Seahawk.

How the heck do you that with missles? :-) Actually I like the grenade launcher on the M16. it seems more powerful than grenades plus you can lob it into helo's. Takes some skills though

Unfortunately, the smarter pilots don't get close enough for the M203.

"Here fishy fishy fishy fish!!" BOOM!

Yes you ran into me twice you talentless twitcher and you're not the only one I've witnessed doing this either. I was also booted later because of the streak of teamkills any support class gets when they are killed in a vehicle repairing/giving ammo/healing. As a pilot of jets and choppers I think its's the worst type of sportsmanship to just crash into the enemy because you don't have the skill to take them out of the air conventionally. Accidents happen (I know I've had my share of humping the ground after an unsuccessful strafe) but to see you here gloating about being able to take out blackhawks (or anyone) by ramming them makes me pretty upset. With all due respect, I do not think it is in the spirit of Tactical Gamer to cheaply take out the opponent because you lack certain skills. I expect it on a lower caliber public server, but not on ours, and frankly I'm surprised that no one else has mentioned this before me.
