For the past week, it seems I've ended up in Bom's squad more often than not. The few times I've been a SL, he's been my COMM as well. Just wanted to say (as anyone that's been in his squad knows) good work and keep it up. Always a blast and always professional.
Piloting - regulars know I take the jets every now and then and I've recently been trying my hand at the Helos the last couple of days...even squared off agaist Cymba and won once or twice. I didn't realize this until I played on a few non TG servers last night (both 1 and 2 were full) but the level of piloting on the TG servers is really quite amazing a good portion of the time. I'm not the best pilot out there, but I was able to litterally dominate (not just the air mind you) another pub last night...in a fighter no less. Piloting on TG is definatly a trial by fire. So to any TG regulars that are beginners when it comes to flying...hang in there, chances are you going up against some very good pilots. I'm betting there isn't a pilot out there on the TG servers that has a few people he knows by name that he doesn't want on his six. I know I have my list : ) Last edited by digitalerich; 08-01-2005 at 02:32 PM. |

I have had a couple of people drop out of the co-pilot seat mid flight, but that's not really something I can control. Now that I think about it, I even remember the map where I did ditch that one time. It was on Dalian Plant and I was playing USMC. The reason I remember it so well is because I felt like such a tool for doing it that one time. So yeah...with the exception of that one time, I don't ditch...I go down in flames with the best of them : )

Re: BOM's squad and piloting
Thanks for the rap
![]() I had a great time when we got bored on Zatar and started some TV missile sniping. Some very surprised tankers there. If only Lagomorph had kept off our tail. |

Re: BOM's squad and piloting
Im not the best pilot but I manage, Im partial to the chinese transport chopper(forget its name) My favorite thing to do is go head to head with an attack chopper. me an him will hover facing each other, he would fire missiles but I can avoid most of them, its quite funny
as for bailing, I usually dont have time, my death come to swift and I dont have time to bail

Re: BOM's squad and piloting
I had a blast piloting on Dalian Plant on Server 1 the other night with Cymba and A(l?)pocalypse. Apocalypse and I kept ramming each other by accident but it was all good :P I even got a "Damn that was crazy flying" out of Cymba when i blew a cobra out of the air and flew through the wreckage as it was falling... while rolling through the cooling towers in the middle of the map

Re: BOM's squad and piloting
Yeah I gotta say the level of pilotting skill on TG servers is a lot higher than the pubs. I mean you might bump into the occasional good pilot on a pub but on TG its usually a constant battle to stay airborne esp with ppl manning AA/Mobile AA, FAV's (uggh) and jets.
