Bad Luck
Today i was playing between 5-7 i beleive, there were so many noobs playing. people really didnt seem liek they had any idea what was going on. the DSS clan were being unorganized and were being jerks. i had an AttackHeli Squad and i had a good co-pilot and we were being harassed by them, they even put C4 on our chopper. very unsportsman like, deathdealer was having trouble with them too as well. also later on while playing i still had the attackheli squad, and i had 3 people in my squad, none of them copiloting, and when they did, not bothering to use the radioguided missles. it was reallying annoying having an antiair looking at me, and my copilot doing nothing. anyways, i had to quit things were getting so frustrating =/

Re: Bad Luck
I'm not sure if you're griping or reporting a problematic player but there are ways to get rid of them. I think the best method is reporting over TeamSpeak.

Re: Bad Luck
Sarc I was having issues today as well. Playing on the 64 man server earlier on. The only Admin on TS was Apo but he was AFK, or maybe he doesn't like me.
Anyways I had to deal with vehicle thefts from our UCB and a llittle spawn camping as well. To further aggravate me I was trying my second time as CO and had 2 good squads of 5 or 6 people nad 4 squads of 1 or 2 people ignoring my orders and doing their own spawn camping and nonesense. Actually asking for a supply drop on the USMC carrier!?!? Was frustrating. |

Re: Bad Luck
Hmm I seem to have had the same generally. I kept leaving squads becuase there was no cohesion or team work going on only to join another squad that was exactly the same. I then made my own squad out of frustration. There I was happily following the CO's orders, on my own, the next thing I die and see I have 4 guys with me. How long they had been there I don't know since none of them bothered to talk to me, which pretty much was the case for the rest of the game (a few sporadic reports but not enough). The next map was even worse and it just seemed to be a bad night for playing.
But they happen, from time to time. As long as it's not the norm I can live with it. |

Re: Bad Luck
Riki_Rude_BTYC, we needed to relock your RAPID squad after it began to fall apart... or were you just fed up by then?
And I agree the LEMMINGS were out in full force last night. CO's without mics, SL's without mics, it was agony. |

Re: Bad Luck
My question would be...is if all these public people who ruin our game play are taking the spots from our community of forum members that believe in the TG way, preventing them (the public TG members) and us (the supporting TG members) from having good gameplay?
Maybe to help prevent this we should give the community the ability to bump non-forum members from the server? Obviously a supporting member could still bump a forum member if no non-forum members existed on the server.

Re: Bad Luck
We should just put a password on these servers. Is www.tacticalgamer.com mentionned in the server name? If so, the user can simply go to the forum to find the password, even if he has never heard about TG.
That should filter some of the idiots... |

I would much prefer one of the public servers with a permanent forum password.

Re: Bad Luck
Members of TG, whether supporting or not, should not be given greater status. It's not us or them, we're all part of this community and we work together. I wouldn't expect someone to be kicked just because I am a supporting member.

Re: Bad Luck
mabe... I can deal with afew bad games here and there so long as the public go home aware of our style of play and possibly comeback ready to play properly, afterall tg must grow and we wouldnt want to stunt that with too seveire limiting of access, one of the things I noticed when I first started playing on tg was the lack of pronounced rules, short of coming here and checking them myself I was never informed of what they where, I still held a certain ettiquete from my dc days (with relation to OCB raping and such) but alot where never announced short of actually comiting said offence.
Would there be anyway to get the rules stated in a clear coherent way on the servers so the public know EXACTLY what is expected from them? |

Re: Bad Luck
Funny, I had the same craptacular experience early on (~9:00EDT). Server 2 was a pure zerg-fest. Our CO, S(something)-napalm, didn't communicate, and when she did, it was "we need someone to go over and capture all those flags!" LOL.
Came back later, Server 1, and had a great game. Seemed like TG came out late. Joined Azreal's squad per Wyzcrak's request, and had a great time defending the airfield on Clean Sweep. Like everyone has said, admins are on, you can get rid of problem players. "Admin, purenoob is a bunny hopping TKer-can you remove him?" will suffice. Or come back later. The good game will come. |
