Sniper upgrade

I just reached Lance Corporal and decided to choose the sniper rifle upgrade. Anyone else using it? I love the sound it makes and especially the way I can shoot helo pilots!! The only disappointment I have with it is that I would think a 50cal bullet would be able to kill most anything it touched. Also, could someone tell me if the game gets as granular so as to have wind and drop affect my shot? Thanks

Bullet drop yes but not wind. I tend to use it when players are in the construction buildings or using lots of transports, it shoots straight through the wood dividers and humvee windshields.

Yea, I have the M95 unlocked on my ranked character too. I'm sorta glad that it's not a one-shot kill because everyone and their brother would be running around with it. The game would turn in to a giant sniper camper fest. No fun.

I do wish the zoomed crosshair on it was the same as the M24 though. The thicker lines can make it hard to aim at a long distance.

It's a solid gun. I had it until the patch screwed over my account. I mostly used it as an alternative to the MEC and PLA guns because I didn't like those much.

Since I don't play ranked, the only exposure I get to the other weapons is on the private server. The .50 just isn't different enough for me to switch. I'm used to the 24/SVD I guess.
