1st connect aar
I finally did manage to connect to the 64 (FuShe) server for about 30 mins. (i think). The 32 map was empty.
then the map ended and i was disconnected. i am not sure i got kicked to make room for some sm or else but i would have disconnected anyway as it was nearly 2 in the morning. as i had only played the 16 maps up to now it was quite an experience but also very disorienting and confusing. thank god its virtual. sl was alan lurie (?), other squadmates had been monkey???, buzz???, icbt...?, kond????. (5 people trying to board the 3 person fav looked really funny). I have REALLY REALLY to learn how to hit, especially at short range. (Iron sights with the enemy 1m away=not good !). i think i perforated a lot of air in the whole game this way. also i tried to nail 3 guys in plain sight on the street some distance away. i fired around 250 rounds but without much success. with luck i suppressed until the tank arrived and finished. I tried my best to support/help my squad. i am not sure i managed ( i died a lot, no surprise there) but all in all it was a nice game and a nice experience (I have never seen this much air activity which also seemed coordinated). VoIP was sufficient, i feared worse (also concerning spoken english). I think i was sometimes a little bit incommunicado with all the fun around me (sometimes i wished for a foxhole and a periscope to figure out what was going on around me). command and information from the sl + squad were informative, one problem was my lack of knowledge of the map, figuring out what ridge the sniper was on and the like, but i had fun nonetheless. Hopefully everyone else in the squad too, despite the "noob". :-)) but i will definitivly try to connect again if i get the time. very nice playing. coordinated attacks and defense , no experienced lone wolfs cutting everyone down, no tankwhoring, no quake style. bye until next time |

Re: 1st connect aar
250 rounds into one guy? i guess you were using the support weapons, those are wildly inaccurate. Dont use it unless its a really close quartered map. anyway awesome to see your likin it at TG, keep comin back.

but at effective range i am (usually) being killed faster then locating targets. thanks for the invitation. i will certainly do that trying to hone my skills, but less often than i would like due to the intrusion of real life (=work and other related things). by |
