Apology

Sorry to the guys in the chinese transport chopper on server 1 on Sunday at around
5:30 EST.

I saw the chopper a name hadn't appeared above it yet so I think its hostile. I grab a stationary AT emplacement, line up my shot (still no name yet), fire and i see the faintest blue above the chopper which has now gone behind a tree, so I try to guide the missle away but instead I drove it right into you guys. I think it was 4 or 5 tks so I just called it a day.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.

Its nice to see the apology, but really whenever I see an 'in-air' aircraft TK I can usually assume its an accident

I have done this myself several times when actually locked on to enemy copter.. the stinger simply decides to go in the completely opposite direction and take down the most distance same team aircraft it can... =)

Yeah, don't beat yourself up over it... Stuff happens. We'll give you a hard time about it and life goes on...

That's why you always need to stay away from Asch when he has a grenade out and he's on your team!

What!?! Hey!! No way! That's only on CSS after they implemented the living walls that catch your nades and throw them back at you.

That reminds me, when you have a nade in your hand you can't "right click" to zoom in and look around. I haven't killed myself doing this yet, but I immediately yell "bad frag! bad frag!" and run...did manage to take out a teammate on one occassion

Re: Apology

Heh... don't sweat it. I took out an entire squad in an APC with a well placed TV guided missles only to see....

|TG|Lt_James Teamkills Squaddie no1
|TG|Lt_James Teamkills Squaddie no2
|TG|Lt_James Teamkills Squaddie no3
|TG|Lt_James Teamkills Squaddie no4
|TG|Lt_James Teamkills Squaddie no5
|TG|Lt_James Teamkills Squaddie no6

Oops. One good thing about it is that it will definitely reinforce the old rule of "identify target before engaging". Some lessons are learned the hard way, even in video games!

Re: Apology

Team kills are unavoidable but you can always check the map first off as it will show the location of friendlies. Hard to do in the heat of battle but with practice it'll be second nature and remember, some maps end with only a few points between the sides and those kills count against your teams tickets don't they?

Re: Apology

I felt bad yesterday when I was lined up for an AT on a tank and as I pulled the trigger my squad leader stepped in the line of fire and took it point blank.....

They do. In fact, tickets are 'spent' at spawn, not at death. That's why medics are so valuable.

It's also why, in those close Karkand games, NOT spawning in the final countdown can be a good idea.

My SL shot me dead in the ass twice yesterday when I spawned in front of him.
