Cool Mod out Mercenaries 2.0

Take a look at this site http://www.dies-world.com. These guys created a mod called Mercenaries 2.0.

Its a coop mod for BF2, you can play online or in single player. They changed allot of stuff.... attack choppers chain gun more powerfull, snipers kill with 1 shot, gatlin gun on FAV among other things.

It really changes the game and its realy enjoyable. I ve only played it in single player and its some good fun. Its nice to have the weapons actually kill the bad guys when you hit them

If I download this will it be under mods in the BF2 page? Or would it load up seperately.

It runs from a new shortcut. I have not had an issues with it interfering with regular BF2.

Yeh it's really easy to set up and is quite fun to play.

Anyone tried firing into a crowded area with the new APC cannon??Man thats fun

ugh, a lot of those changes seem pretty unbalanced and go a long way to making the vehicles even more powerful than they already are. I was gonna give it a shot though till I saw this:

UH-60 blackhawk...now armed with sindwinder missles

good grief.

Well its fun for single player. I enjoy playing as sniper, nice to finally have 1 shot 1 kill abilities. I agree the sidewinder on the BH is dumb. But Id rather have realistic vehicles and I have not found a mod that has that yet. This gets closer but not on the level of a sim like OFP.

I mean an Abrams main gun should kill any other vehicle in the game with 1 shot. I mean multiple shots to kill a APC? Multiple hits to kill a BH...cmon.

The BH doesn't have SW missiles, it's the same missiles as the Attack Helos have, the 2.75in dumbfire rockets. As is, this is a fun little mod but only for the USMC, the other teams didn't get vehicles weaponry upgrades and now suck even more. I must admit that this is alot more fun than normal single player, I <3 the dune buggy gatling gun, and the new main cannon on the tanks though.

i downloaded that and had alot of fun, now ive got Mercs v4.0 and the patch 4 it and its heaps of fun. i ususally play as US jus coz 1 hit kills with the semi-auto sniper seems a bit unfair. if i play as MEC/China i use the M95. one of the annoying things at times is the bots use of grenades. overall wikkid mod.

Come on! Gatling gun on a buggy? It doesn't get any cooler...

I'd like to play this on server #2, even if just for a weekend..

I prefer the Tactical War mod instead....seems to be more in line with our thinking here, not jsut "ooh shiny, and it goes BOOM!".

I just can't wait for the FH mod. Those renders are amazingly detailed and I know from the bf2 version they will have realistic tactical gameplay as a primary focus.
