What do you buy first round?

If im a T, i usually buy armor, frag, flash, usp, and one extra clip

If CT, then I go with a kit (if applicable), armor, frag, and flash, all in that order

Re: What do you buy first round?

Terrorist
Armor
Deagle + Ammo
HE grenade, or two Flashbangs (depends on map)

Counter-Terrorist
Armor
Kit (If I can!)
USP ammo, or 5-7 + Ammo (depends on mood. usually USP ammo)
With remaining cash, I aim for flashbangs, then HE grenades. Or a smoke, but again depends on level.

Often if it's a map that's good for sniping (harvest, compound, piranesi, prodigy, etc), I won't buy anything first round. This leaves me with over $5000 for the next round - sufficient funds for a scout, armor, and a set of 'nades.

Re: What do you buy first round?

How much do we get for the first round? I forgot.

I know it's enough to get a night with Vulcan's mom with some leftovers to get a couple of flashes.

Re: What do you buy first round?

$2300.

Way too much, in my honest opinion. While I see how it might be more "tactical," $800 is so much more traditional, used in tournaments, etc. Plus it makes people work harder.

Personally I like the $2300 because you dont have the lame pistol rounds. Most people buy a deagle, then die and have no money for the next round. Most of the time CTs win the pistol round just because the USP is most of the time preffered over the Glock. With the $2300 you can buy an SMG, or even a rifle if you want to. Or you can just load out on grenades and armor. The $2300 is one of my favorite thing about TG.

Re: What do you buy first round?

If I'm a Terrorist...

Kevlar + Helmet
Deagle
Secondary Ammo
He Grenade

If I'm a Counter-Terrorist...

Kevlar + Helmet
Deagle
Secondary Ammo
Kit (If It's a de map)
Flashbang (He grenade if it's not a de map)

A Kit is always the first thing I buy as a CT - it should be the first thing every CT purchases as it's the most important thing needed to complete your objective on a de map. I still don't understand why so many people neglect to purchase them. I guess having that extra $200 for your Scout or whatever is more important? I don't know. I've seen many a rounds lost because of a defusal attempt without a kit.

Re: What do you buy first round?

CT start:
Deagle
Kevlar
Diffuse Kit

T start:
Deagle
Kevlar

Simple and effective. Grenades always seem to backfire on me in the first round.

Somehow I missed that comment that you are talking about. How I skipped it, I do not know. I do smell a-slaying-a-coming.
