server #2

Hey folks, im brand new to the TG community(just signed up yesterday)and have a couple o comments and questions.

First, since i found the TG servers i havent played a ranked server since. the general level of teamwork and maturity is refreshing after having suffered through the ranked servers since release

second, a question, yesterday (monday 15th) the #1 server was full so i went about joining the #2 server. it only had about 7 people in it but i figured id join and hopefully others would follow suit.

However, i spawned in (sharqui pen) at the southern pen. flag to find three us forces attempting to take over ....skillfully took them out with my noob toob :P and was proptly kicked (either for tking or a succesfull vote) ....what the...? i hadnt even seen a team member, much less shot one.....

Now i know im not suppoesed to complain about this to anyone but the admins but i have no idea WHO the admin was...

3. Player Kicks

When a player is kicked they will be dropped to their multiplayer screen. If you have a question or concern about why you were kicked, please bring it up DIRECTLY with the admin that kicked you. Be respectful and I can guarantee that the admins will treat you with respect in return

but i also recieved zero warning....

2. Warnings

Warnings will be given before ANY other form of punishment for ANY player who is violating the rules or overall code of conduct for TG.

Warnings will be issued via the in-game messaging system. Any message received in this manner will appear on the left hand side of your screen in green. It is your responsibility to make sure you are paying attention to this text while in game.

Warnings being issued and ignored may ultimately result in you being kicked from the server or banned for an undetermined period of time. If you have received multiple warnings, it is possible that you will be removed for a longer period of time or removed completely from TG.

i wondered if it was a mistake or maybe one of the many bugs and rejoined the server.
upon spawning i asked via the all chat why i was kicked and was kicked again..

is there anyone who could tell me why this happened?

thanks!

Re: server #2

You were kicked twice? That's odd.

I'm sure an admin will post here soon and help you out.

A guy in my squad the other day was telling me how he is frequently kicked for teamkilling and vote kicks etc but he never does anything wrong. I am begining to wonder if its a bug.

P.S Welcome to the forums

Re: server #2

From the sounds of it, I don't think an admin kicked you. The message you receive after you have been kicked is a stock EA message that leads many people to think they were kicked for TKing.

You may also have been kicked by punkbuster if you do not have the latest PB files.

Also, you may contact ANY admin in regards to being kicked or banned. Just PM one admin from the admin list, located in the rules, SOPs & announcements forum group.

Re: server #2

You might not have noticed any warnings. Sometimes you get so into the game that you don't notice all the messages.

You didn't say you were in a squad. That's the only reason I can think of if an admin didn't kick you. The time it takes to take out 3 guys seems about the time it takes to kick after spawning as a lone wolf.

I think the Kick/Ban SOP needs some editing if it sounds like you have to contact the specific admin that kicked you. It's not often a player gets the chance to see which admin did the kicking. The SOP should mention that it's ok to contact any admin.

Re: server #2

hmmm.... ive been playing on the TG servers for a while now so jumping right into a squad is the first thing i always do.....i suppose that could be it though....

ps thanks for the clarification on the ANY admin part...that makes tons more sense since if you were wrongfully banned/kicked i doubt the admin responsible would change his/her mind

and sarc it only took about a minute the first time and waaayyy less than that the second time ...the second time right on spawning i typed...
j why was i kicked? i didnt tk?...
seconds later i was kicked again

i suppose i was vote kicked but i shure was fast if so

I think you'll find the admins are more apt to change their minds if they are approached through the proper medium and the message is civil. We do makes mistakes and want to correct them. We also will bring the hammer down heavy because there are quite a few bugs to squash. We are open to all requests.

Talking Re: server #2

I was a SL and died and spawned back in and I wasn't in a squad any longer. I got kicked. I didn't know what happened until it happened again and this tiem I was watching for it and quickly joined a squad.

Re: server #2

Oh this is one thing I thought I'd mention. It would be nice if somehow the player names were capitalised in those kick warnings etc.

I say this because sometimes I miss them as well because the player name blends in with the rest of the message so u just assume its a squad related message or something. Capitalising the player name will make it stand out so that the player in question is more likely to notice it rather than think its just game noise.

I second this.

Hope you it worked out FreekyE. Always found you to be a good team player and I've never actually seen you do anything that would get you kicked.

Is that automatic "kick for a member" script live yet? Maybe that has a bug if it is.

Re: server #2

I'd put my money on the squadless kick script.

As soon as the people that pay me stop heaping work upon me, I can get back to the helping the people *I* pay. :P
